Balancer is looking to hire a remote SDK Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript) to join the team. This is a full-time position that is 100% remote.
Our mission is to be the leading liquidity provider for the world of decentralized finance. We believe that offering a flexible protocol that leverages new models, such as paying passive investors for contributing liquidity will have a profound impact on the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. We're looking for a skillful javascript engineer to join our team. You'll have an opportunity to build a lasting product tha reshapes the global financial system.
Role Context
Balancer is a protocol – represented by the Balancer DAO – that empowers other DAOs to build awesome stuff using our permissionless infrastructure. The SDK team is one of our core and most important teams tasked with making it as easy as possible to build on Balancer. For this reason we are looking for an experienced javascript/typescript engineer who is comfortable building modular class based JS systems. This is a recently established team, your impact will be direct and you will have a great impact on the company’s success.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the Balancer SDK and example applications to provide a best-in-class experience for devs building on Balancer
- Develop and own best practices for development with a focus on user experience, reliability, and latency
- Write stable, high coverage test cases for features you ship
- Debug issues across multiple levels of the stack
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience with JavaScript / Typescript
- Experience in developing libraries and SDKs
- Experience with ethers.js, GraphQL, and Solidity is a plus
- Self-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomy
- Passion for working with DeFi projects
