Associate CFO at Merit Circle

We are offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to a young and talented finance professional. In this role, you will get to work closely with the project founder and CFO. You will assist the CFO in his day-to-day activities and take over a range of tasks. The main focus of work will be on financial accounting, with plenty of opportunities to learn from the CFO in all areas of business critical operations, as well as exposure to different domains within the organization. This role has an enormous growth trajectory, you will get increasingly more responsibility and a broader range of tasks of varying complexity. You will get the opportunity to prove yourself in different financial domains and carve out roles with more leadership and strategic elements to it. Eventually this could translate into a unique opportunity such as; to become the CFO/Head of Finance or a General partner (fund). For this role, we look for someone who is ambitious, obsessed with learning and wants to work hard. Someone who has accounting skills and to whom numbers are a second nature. We expect a degree of independence in this role, you should be comfortable with working on tasks by yourself, taking responsibilities seriously without being overly afraid of making mistakes. You have the confidence to ask questions; you have a drive to learn and grow. We look for someone who is deeply interested in the web3 space combined with financial engineering, ideally with experience, and at the very least basic knowledge of these domains. You should be highly organized and precise in your work. Lastly, this role puts you in a position of trust, therefore loyalty, high-integrity and trustworthiness are essential.Working in a wider team of passionate contributors you will be expected to compose yourself in a professional manner, as you will directly be representing the CFO or finance department on different occasions. You will also be working with prolific external partners; funds, tax attorneys, legal attorneys, games, angels and web3 projects. Your work will touch on many different domains within the DAO, as finance is fundamental to almost every part of our organization.

• Accounting skills (diplomas) • Excellent English speaking and writing proficiency • Ability to collaborate with our other departments • Good communicative skills • Willingness to take responsibility in corporate governance • Flexibly available if- and when needed • Above basic knowledge of cryptocurrency, NFTs, and/or blockchain technology

• 1-3+ years of web3 work experience • 1-3+ years of experience in working with an investment funds • Experience in coding, technical background • Passion for- or deep interest in web3 • Passion for- or deep interest in fintech • Experience with gaming • Experience with investing
