Yield Guild Games is looking to hire a remote CTO - Special Projects to join the team. This is a full-time position that is 100% remote.
Yield Guild Games is a decentralized gaming guild that pools funds to purchase yield-generating NFTs, and leverages players' time and effort to optimize community-owned assets for maximum utility and return.
By merging NFTs and decentralized finance (DeFi), YGG creates value for its partners and community by developing the content and economy of virtual worlds and blockchain-based games. The organization’s mission is to create the biggest virtual world economy.

As one of the hottest start-ups in web3.0 in 2021, YGG has formed a Joint Venture working with InvestMachine, to create a unified platform for Guilds, Gamers, and Game developers. This special project is seeking a passionate, talented Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our Engineering initiatives on a Blockchain Games Platform.
What You Will Do?
- Lead development of the software architecture and own the technical design vision of a cutting edge Web 3.0 platform.
- Collaborate with JV stakeholders, C-level leadership, and project managers ensure clear goals and provide technical solutions.
- Push the envelope for innovation by evaluating and recommending new Web 3 technologies, custom tools, and external plugins to meet the platform needs.
- Manage and oversee technical execution of our internal devs, outsourcing teams, & vendors.
Who Are You?
- Previous experience as CTO or a Tech Lead, preferable of platform level products
- Experience in development of client-server applications preferable in the games industry
- Hands-on back-end development experience
- Experience in mobile game/application architecture design
- Experience working on client-server Unity apps
- Experience with agile software development processes
- Strong passion for game development and the newest technologies
- English fluency required
