Role Description:
As an ever-evolving internet native organization, FWB has the opportunity and responsibility to constantly be redefining its own practice, both as curators as well as collaborators.
The role that FWB plays in the emerging NFT community is many fold, from platform and distributor, to media brand to curator.
Our ability to morph and create value based on the specific opportunity at hand unlocks freedom, leverage, and the ability to put the artist first.
To ensure that our curatorial practice reflects the progressiveness and the agility that this space demands, FWB is building out a new structure in which Curation can properly be structured, incentivized, and compensated.
The FWB Curatorial Advisory team will be composed of a small set of established and emerging leaders to help FWB establish its NFT practice. This team will focus on creating the necessary bridges between artists and creatives of all facets as they seek to bring their work on chain and produce work in this new web3 paradigm.
Mission:
FWB’s mission is to equip cultural creators and maintainers with web3 tools to gain agency over their autonomy, organization, advocacy, and ownership.
We do this by
- Acting as an entrance into Web3, physically, digitally, and conceptually. We create IRL events, digital spaces, and stories that connect Web3 potential to cultural narratives.
- By using Web3 tools and spaces to build community, connect with diverse perspectives, and empower participants to form their own subcultures.
- By creating tools, works of art, and products that showcase the potential of Web3 and create measurable change in the lives of cultural creators and maintainers
Responsibilities:
Curation
- Identify exciting artists and NFT projects that make sense for FWB to support and bring them to the wider Curatorial Team
- Collaborate directly with Artists and the FWB NFT Operations team to bring projects to life either through the FWB Gallery or any other mediums.
- Interface with the FWB community through occasional programming and artist support functions
- Collaborate in helping define FWB’s curatorial approach and guidelines so that the community can participate
Questions We Are Always Exploring:
- How do we better harness the FWB community to identify and feature up and coming artists that the community backs? The Gallery is as much an auction platform as it is an ability to story tell through the Gallery's world building capacities.
- How do we leverage the social and financial mechanics that the $FWB social token provides for better curatorial and promotion / marketing of NFT artists?
- How do we eventually exit the Gallery to the community? So anyone with the token can curate, list, feature, and receive a cut?
- How do we empower Curators with web3 native ownership models?
- How do we act as a bridge between cultural worlds and web3, and push the envelope of NFT projects?
Compensation
- Curatorial Advisors will receive an initiation bonus in FWB tokens and then a recurring retainer monthly that they can either receive in FWB or USDC.
- Curators will also receive an on-chain percentage split in projects that they curate and help produce.
